Coach the Coaches — with Ronan Taggart
A Leap Hockey Coaching Clinic
Great coaching isn't just knowing the skill — it's knowing how to teach it, structure it, and deliver it in a way that actually lands with players.
This is Leap's first-ever clinic built specifically for coaches. Over one evening, Ronan Taggart — Leap's Academies Director — will break down the exact approach we use to run some of the best-reviewed field hockey clinics in the country.
You'll spend time both on the field and in the classroom, covering:
- Technical fundamentals — how we coach the details (grip, ball position, passing and trapping) so corrections actually change behavior, not just get repeated
- Session structure — how to design a session that builds logically, keeps energy high, and gets the most out of the time you have
- Communication — how to push players hard without breaking them, and how to create the kind of environment where effort and enjoyment coexist
This isn't theory. It's the same framework Leap coaches use every week with elite youth and college-bound athletes — made practical and repeatable for your own program.
Format: 2.5 hours, evening session — on-field + classroom
Led by: Ronan Taggart, Leap Hockey Academies Director
Who it's for: Club, school, and program coaches looking to sharpen how they teach the game — not just what they teach
Spots are limited to keep the group small enough for real interaction with Ronan. Reserve yours below.
